Srinagar, May 06 (KNO) : Sher - I - Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar organised one day workshop on “Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)” in SKIMS Auditorium on Monday.
The workshop, seminar was organized under the aegis of ICMR-PCOS National Task Force Study
According to KNO correspondent Director SKIMS & Ex-Officio Secretary to Government, Prof. Omar Javed Shah while addressing the gathering said that the SKIMS is striving hard to fulfill its role as leader in healthcare and such programs will go long way in helping us towards accomplishing the goal.
The workshop was attended by over 435 students from various institutions of state. Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, Scientist-B, Clinical Research Laboratory, SKIMS provided a detailed presentation on the genesis of the task Force and the work plan and progress achieved so far. "Multiple epidemics of life style diseases are going on," said Prof M. Ashraf Ganie, Chief coordinator of this flagship project of ICMR.(KNO)
